Fran Loots
Founder of Ayecan Change
Fran has a background in community health, psychology and fitness. This has included working as part of a Health Improvement Team. Fran developed the programme from her research into and experience of sustainable weight management.
As asocial enterprise this work was supported by:
Lara Boyd - A Registered Nutritional Therapist who is providing nutritional advice for the pilot of the programme materials.
Dr Chris Fenn provided nutritional consultancy input in the early days. Sonam Chand – An undergraduate psychology student at Stirling University. |
In addition we have an Expert Panel. The Expert Panel helps to look at how to incorporate research and learning from other areas into the programme.
The panel includes Dr. Rachel Crockett and Professor Kate Hunt from Stirling University , Frances Bain from Paths for All, Dr. Mario Kolberg from Stirling University as well as Lara Boyd. |
We received some funding from the National Lottery to pilot the Ayecan Change programme and some of the ideas behind it and are now looking to how to build on lessons from that.
First Port provided some start up support. Professor Bill Buchanan OBE Napier University gave time and support in the early stages. Dr Stephan Dombrowski contributed to the expert panel before heading to pastures new. |
