This week we look at fat in our diet – the good, the bad and the ugly.
  • Learn more about different types of fats
  • Understand more about the effects of sugar and carbs. Check out what is in your food
  • We also introduce the BANT, British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine, Wellbeing Guidelines.  With their permissions​​

The actions for the week are:
  1. Think about what to spread on toast. Find out more about ultra processed foods and spreads in our diets - commit to some action
  2. Find out more on fats - can you make some swaps?
  3. Take a look at Carbs and sugar  - commit to some action
  4. Start to follow the BANT guidelines to fight the fat
And report in - that's you half way through!!

Keep doing what you have been doing:
  • How are you getting on with the hunger scale?
  • Are you continuing to eat more consciously for at least one meal a day? Are your drinking enough water?
  • Have you made any swaps?
  • Have your committed to moving more? 
  • Have you started to look at habits and identify what you can change? How about noticing thoughts?
  • Are you using some of the more mindful approaches?

Just for fun - at the end - see if you know the names of some 'bad' sources of fat.
